- When I lived up north, I took a lesson in Santa Cruz and was hooked after catching my first wave!!! After that, I arranged my schedule around the tide and often drove from San Francisco to Santa Cruz to surf more friendly waves. Years later,in Santa Barbara, I am still thrilled just to be in the ocean on my board, still a beginner and I'm ecstatic everytime I ride a wave!!!!

Happy Surf Mamas
annabelle and i went surfing today for the first time in months. it has been way toooo long! it was heavenly. the weather was perfect and we had the waves practically to ourselves. the endless ocean stretched out before us, behind us beautiful mountains and a surfing buddy to cheer with. it does not get better than this and i am most grateful.
