Just wanted to say thanks to you SBSGirls I went and surfed Mondos n this past thursday and loved it. My husband and I were camping at Refugio and took the ride down to find it. We both had a blast surfing there. Planning on getting myself down there more to surf, putting that spot on my favorite surf spot list now.

Most students are “first timers” and need thorough and expert guidance from someone skilled. What’s more, teachers may not be available to the students all the time, and in fact, may have even less time at the end of the semester.
dissertations sample can be a blessing for students because most students are not familiar with the writing and formatting skills of thesis research and writing. dissertation sample can be used…

annabelle and i went surfing today for the first time in months. it has been way toooo long! it was heavenly. the weather was perfect and we had the waves practically to ourselves. the endless ocean stretched out before us, behind us beautiful mountains and a surfing buddy to cheer with. it does not get better than this and i am most grateful.

Hello. I am new here. I live on Ojai. I want to lean to surf. Should I take lessons and if so does anybody know a good teacher?
Also, when I do start playing in the water, how do I know where all the girls meet up?
Much Love

I am four months and still surfing. Kinda tapered off the really big days for now.
I'm now showin' and growin'. Woohoo!
Sorta getting uncomfortable paddling on my stomach so I must now resort to knee paddling.

This is as good a place as any.... I still can count my "learning to surf round 2" sessions on 2 hands. Actually I only have one more to go to make it to ten, too bad I broke my fin off, now its waiting to get fixed. I think I will use this blog as a diary of my sessions and progress, that said, I'll wait until later to actually start.

It's amazing how the waves were yesterday and today in Santa Barbara. Compare to summer it could be a different place if you didn't know Santa Barbara . . . I have fun going to Rincon to shoot some rad surfers . . . most of them were not catching waves and hagging waiting for their turn . . . There was a couple of girls (yeah for the girls!) and one kid (I am not sure what happen to him) . . . Campus Point was also big . . . poles was braking nice . . . but I think the hardest thing was the curr…

I borrowed this from the Skateboard Moms and thought it was pretty applicable to surfing too!
It keeps us healthy.
It keeps us feeling young.
The wind in our hair is a blast.
It’s fun to laugh at ourselves.
We’re proud, strong women.
We look cool when we do it.
We haven’t forgotten how to play.
We haven’t forgotten we need to play.
We love being with our friends.
It’s better than chocolate.…

I went out this morning without Cha, but still couldn't find
anyone. I did find a spot on the beach and by noon, I was getting
pushed out by families and kids were messing with my board. Such is
life...
BUT....
I did get out. I paddled and looked for anyone I knew... only saw Mr.
Clean.... and paddled around him.
I did catch a great wave (by accident), got pushed into a couple of
guys and ran over one a little... OOOPS!! So sorry guy!! I felt

Fredrik and I decided to go to Mondos last minute on Sunday for a
little surfing. We dragged Mallika with us and my mom (no, she doesn't
surf). So, we jumped in the clown car (just because is a Honda and we
like to carpool) and headed for our surfing spot. We knew it was going
to be crowded, but we never imagined this. We
got off the freeway and started our 3 mile drive to the beach. There
was a spot, and I told Fredrik, park here, and I realized that we were
not yet close the place we usually p…

I took my son to see the movie Surf's Up about the penguin surfer, and I totally recommend it. It was very cute, and it inspired me to get back out there and do it, especially because the main character actually isn't very good in the beginning, and he gets advice from a more seasoned surfer to "just have fun" and "relax" and use long strokes.

Hey Girls,
I highly recommend this quick release leash in case of tangles with seaweed or rocks. As you know, a fellow surfer drowned at Campus Point in 2006. This tragic event sparked concern about the safety of traditional surfboard leashes versus leashes with a quick-release pull pin. The difference between the two is that when a surfer pulls the pin, it automatically detaches the cord around the ankle. With a traditional leash, the surfer has to reach down and do it manually.
