Surf Penguins!

I took my son to see the movie Surf's Up about the penguin surfer, and I totally recommend it. It was very cute, and it inspired me to get back out there and do it, especially because the main character actually isn't very good in the beginning, and he gets advice from a more seasoned surfer to "just have fun" and "relax" and use long strokes.

Sorry it took me so long to respond! I was just looking at my own page, not realizing I should check back in to yours.
My daughter starts preschool in the fall, so Tuesday and Thursday mornings might become a possibility. Right now it's pretty last minute when I get to go out on a weeknight. Depends what's going on with my husband's job, etc.
Now that it's warm I'm hoping my husband and kids can come with me on Saturday mornings and make sand castles at campus point.
I'm going to try to get out to Poles/Campus next Tuesday night (5:30) when Kristen goes. Try to come!

Yeah, it's nice to have a better idea of who you are looking for when you go out. I've asked strangers if they were a sb surf grl, and they are like "What's that?" Which has then ended up in me telling them they should join the group.
Childcare is always tough for me. I'm lucky that my sister helps me out, but since she watches him so much so that I can work, I feel guilty asking her to watch him so I can surf. I haven't been getting out enough to improve, so I guess I just need to set aside some dedicated time... I always feel so good after I surf. Is there a weekday time that we could get together while the kids are in school?

We're going camping this weekend, so we'll be back on Monday if you want to give me a call. 456-4908

Hey Taymar,
I've been lucky that my husband usually watches the kids when I'm out surfing on Saturday mornings. It's his time to have them to himself I guess. I like the idea of helping each other out, too. It seems like there's never enough time to ourselves and it's important!
Not sure if I was supposed to chatter on your page or mine! Glad to have a face to your name. I have to start getting everyone's names and nicknames straight!
